I generally love your advice, but I can't get behind these generic questions. As an interviewer, when prospects walk in with questions they could ask during ANY job interview, it makes me think they haven't done any research and they're lazy/disengaged. Instead, I would challenge the interviewee to take the essence of these questions and adapt them to the company they're interviewing with. A perfect example is instead of asking, "What type of people are successful here?" preface it with something you know about the company. Here's a better question: "I've thoroughly researched your culture, and it seems like the people who thrive have X, Y, and Z traits. Do you feel that's correct, and could you please tell me more about the people who succeed here?" Most lazy questions can be transformed into active questions by just starting with a tidbit of information you have about the company.
